Hey everyone, what an awesome site! I just wanted to let everyone know that we are having a big after party with the KA Alum and Phi Gam\'s from Chapel Hill at a bar we rented called \"Live\", located in Bells Fork Station, in the Harris Teeter Shopping Center. The party starts at 10:00, and goes until 2:00. The guys got \"The Dean Dollar Band\", and they used to play here all the time. You can go to there website, www.deandollar.com and look at the photos and schedule. It is a very good time. Please invite all of your friends and let them know you are with the KA/AZD party. Look forward to seeing everyone!

I am looking for an AXD alum from ECU who I went to high school with. Her name is Kim Tolson. She would have entered ECU in 1982 although I am not sure which year she pledged or if she graduated from ECU. We are having a 25th High School reunion and she is on the MIA list. Recall she told me she was a sister. I went to Ohio University-Pi Chapter of AXD. Please help!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone from the sorority has a composite from the fall of \'83, or spring of \'84? I lost mine during spring of \'84 frat rush, and never recovered it. My daughter is now showing an interest in the Sorority Life and I was trying to show her all my memorabilia but cannot show her the composite. So if anyone would be able to send me a copy, (I will give whomever my address), I would be willing to pay for it. Just email me and let me know. Thanks in advance

Hello! Nice to read the posting and recognize some names. It has been a long time and I have been so bad with keeping up with people. The house looks awesome, so jealous we didn\'t have a screened in porch when I was there. Has anyone heard from Sara Smith, Ali Mabry or Rene Reese? I know Michele (Barnes)Lyons is expecting in August and Sarah (France) Talley had a baby girl last week. I moved from Raleigh to NYC area 2 years ago. Working as a nurse in medical device sales. Hope all my Beta Nu girls are doing well and drop me an email sometime poots12@yahoo.com Kimberly

Just wanted to drop a line to all the current AZD sisters and pledges to say it was great meeting some of you last weekend, at PBs and when several of us Beta Nus and Beta Xis stopped by the house to say Hello. You are all so awesome, friendly and sweet, you made us feel right at home (again) at 508 E. 11th! (oh, and we just loved hearing that some Chi O\'s were overheard saying in the bathroom at PBs that AZDs had the coolest Alumni!) The years have gone by so fast, but you all made our weekend back at ECU great! Keep up the great work girls! LIBOS! Heather, Shari, Kathy, Treacy, Kathy, Aimee, Mary, Busch (Laura)

Homecoming weekend is coming!!! I appologize for all of you that haven\'t received your invitations yet, but they should be out soon! For Saturday, October 21 Gamma Phi is participating in Homecoming this year and we have a float. The parade is at 10 a.m. on Fifth St. and we would love for all of you to be there. Immediately following the parade, we are having a floating brunch at the house, which will allow all of y\'all to come and see all of the renovations that have been made to the house. We do have a tailgate spot (the location will be announced soon) and we will have some of our new girls driving to the spot beginning at 12:30 until 2 p.m. Unfortunately, ECU no longer does group tickets so if you are trying to get some go to www.ecupirates.com. We can\'t wait to see all of you and Go Pirates! Xi love, Liz Fulton Alumni Relations

Alpha Xi Delta/gamma phi, is so LUCKY to have Anna as Chapter Advisor. Congratulations and can\'t wait to hear all the news at our \'Beach weekend\' in Sept. Good luck and lots of love!

Posted by anna weaver on August 13th 2005 08:19:39 PM

wanted to let everyone know that I have recently been asked to serve as the Chapter Advisor for Gamma Phi. I been more involved with Chapter activities during the past year and felt the time was right for me to step in and help out the girls. The chapter is in need of an advisor as they have been without one for quite awhile. I met with Donna Grass, area facilitator last week and have had great conversations with Laura Vestal, Chapter President. We are all excited about the coming year. The girls move back into the house on Wednesday and begin immediately getting ready for Fall Recruitment. If there are any alumni out there that would like to take on a role to please contact me, the chapter is always in need (just as when we were there). Lauren and Lindsey do a great job with the Corporation Board but I know they could always use some help as well. Anna (Alpha Mu/76)

Hey Heather!! Great to see your post. Can\'t believe you will have a step-daughter in college. Make sure that she goes through rush her Freshman year. I have a niece at UNC and of course I pushed her to join a sorority her Freshman year. Well, she didn\'t. She did it her Sophomore Year and is kicking herself for not doing it last year. I love telling her that I was right! LIBOS - Missy (King) Holloman

Hello AZD Sisters. My name is Heather and I am alum from Northern VA. (Beta Nu) and this site is great. Nice Work ladies! I see some familiar names on this board, Missy King, Trina C., Pauline R., (Hey ya\'ll!!) But man, reading all these names that I dont recognize really makes me feel like I graduated 100 years ago! That combined with the fact that my stepdaughter Kylie is hoping to go the ECU in the fall - if she gets in - shes waitlisted right now :( OMG, I feel too young to have a kid in almost in college - I graduated 13 yrs ago! Anyway, she has heard me rave about ECU and AZD for the last 10 1/2 years, and we are all hoping that she\'ll get in and will go there next Fall. I\'ve talked to her about AZD and Rush, shared all my scrapbooks and pics, and I think she really would like to Rush - if not her freshman year then probably sophomore. Rebecca (president) Would you possibly be able to email me and let me know what I need to do to submit a Legacy recommendation for her? (obviously only if she decides to go to ECU) And if she does, I also would like to bring her to the house so we can meet some of you when we come to visit this spring. I took her to the house once, but that was when she was like 11 years old...I\'m sure she would have a totally different perspective now! Thanks alot, and good luck this semester!Xi Love, LIBOS to you all!Heather (Meason) Morris (BN)

Posted by Judith Ann Wilson Harrell on January 23rd 2005 10:41:47 AM

The house was not acquired in 1960. I was in the Alpha pledge class when the sorority went national. I left in Spring of 1962 and we didn\'t have the house yet. We weren\'t looking yet because National wouldn\'t even consider it.Only SSS had a house from the beginning. All other sororities met in the panhel. room on a different week night.I love this web site. This is the first time I have seen it. I am Pres. of Tidewater Chapter of AZD in the Norfolk area. We don\'t have a web site but have an email list. Would you like to be on the list? One of your more recent alumns just contacted me and gave me your web site.I wish that I could have been at your Nov. gathering. Maybe next time. Judy

Collegiates - need your help - Rebecca (president) or Katherine (Alumni chair) - I was recently back down in NYC in Oct and stopped by the house and met Katherine and a bunch of the girls! I met with a bunch of other alumns during my recent trip to NC from NYC. I emailed Katherine a spreadsheet with all of the gamma phi alum contact info I had in the hopes of helping to keep the sorority\'s alum database current (which historically has always been a challenge). However, Katherine\'s email was returned to me. Is the email address \"kms0807@mail.ecu.edu\" correct? If not, where should I forward the info? Thanks for your help guys :)
